About Culbertson West

The mansion in Samuel Culbertson's day

Culbertson West was built in 1886 by William  S. Culbertson, Indiana’s wealthiest businessman and philanthropist.  Culbertson West is next door to the famed Culbertson Mansion and was a wedding gift to his son Samuel.

The Culbertson West mansion is also the birthplace of Samuel and Louise Culbertson’s two sons, known as “The Little Knights of Kentucky” in the world-famous story books and movie.
